Mudra of the Month: Mudra For Letting Go of the "Ego"...

Mudra means "To Please", and is a way to invoke the unseen forces for health and happiness. You can literally manifest your destiny with the palm of your hands. A Mudra is a type of sign language to the angelic realm. Every day, hire the angels of Light and fire the angels of darkness with Mudra Therapy.

The month of December is the 12th month of the year. Twelve is the Jupitarian number for "The Hanged Man" in the Major Arcana of the Tarot. This archetype teaches that in order to achieve our highest enlightenment, we must let go of who we think we are and what we think we should be. In letting go of the physical attachments, we gain the entire Universe. The mudra we chose for this month helps in letting go of the "ego", or lower frequencies of putting material desires or beliefs before the higher energies of spirit and unconditional Love.

The thumbs connect us to our higher brain centers where the Pituitary and Pineal Glands are stimulated through the tips. The tops of every finger also connect to the brain, the mind, and the higher centers. By flexing the fingers back to the pads of the hand, we are bowing the energy of the mind to the energy of the heart. This stimulates the higher glands and stretches open the reflex points connected to the heart center, digestive centers, and all of the organs, allowing for the entire body to strengthen.

Personally, we utilize this mudra to ground into the soul. There is so much untruth, illusion, and energy trying to pull us away from Love. It is our job to come back to Love over and over until it is our natural state of consciousness. The "ego" is the greatest illusive force in our lives, and it only has power over us when we don't address it. This mudra helps one to address the "ego" and transmute lower vibrations of fear into Love.

How To Get Into The Mudra:

1. Straighten the spine in a comfortable posture sitting, standing, or laying down.

2. Rub your hands together vigorously.

3. With your hands open and facing forward, open the hands as big as you can and then bend back all of the fingers, except for the thumb, where the tips of the fingers land at the top of the pads of the hands.

4. Stretch your thumbs out and touch thumb tips.

5. You can bend your elbows, but keep the strong hold of the fingers bent and the hand flexed open to stimulate all of the reflex points.

4. Relax your shoulders down and away from your ears.

5. Smile, breathe, and hold the mudra here for 3 - 11 minutes. Chanting the healing mantra "RaMaDaSaSaSaySoHung" or breathing a 3-Point Breath (See Below) is wonderful to do while holding any mudra.

***Remember that it might not be comfortable at first, but you are developing neuro-pathways in the brain that will affect the entire being, so hang in there!

3-Point Breath (Optional):

Inhale for a count of 20, Hold the breath for a count of 20, Exhale for a count of 20. Repeat this breath for 3 - 11 minutes to calm the mind and bring balance to the brain.
