Mudra means "To Please", and is a way to invoke the unseen forces for health and happiness. You can literally manifest your destiny with the palm of your hands. A Mudra is a type of sign language to the angelic realm. Every day, hire the angels of Light and fire the angels of darkness with Mudra Therapy.
This month we feel the influence of the number 3 and the planetary influence of Jupiter. Jupiter brings good luck, spiritual growth, material abundance, and joy when it is working for us. Otherwise it can bring imbalance, excess, bossiness, people pleasing insecurities, and over-indulgences. "The Empress" archetype reminds us that we are constantly creating our realities, and that our limitations are a manifestation of our fears. In order to bring out the very best that Jupiter offers us this 3rd month of the year, we need to seek harmony and balance and have Faith in what is good and righteous. This mudra helps us to find harmony in our thoughts, emotions, actions, and behaviors. It also offers a high vibration of positive energy and connection to Truth, Wisdom, and Divine Healing.
The palms contain all of the reflex points in the entire body. When we bring them together, we activate the left and right brain, all of the organs, and the energies of both logic and wisdom together as one in our hearts. The ring finger is the Sun finger, and it represents the healing energy of Light. By activating it, we are stimulating the Light within us to illuminate positive vibrations in our lives. This modification of the traditional Prayer Pose adds the element of healing Light to help illuminate any darkness, and help to usher in harmony where there has been imbalance.
We use this mudra while practicing breath work to harmonize the masculine and feminine energies within. It offers a healing frequency of Light that helps to guide the mind and heart toward Love and away from fear. For overall balance, this is a wonderful hand posture to practice daily.
How To Get Into the Mudra:
1. Straighten the spine in a comfortable posture sitting, standing, or laying down.
2. Rub your hands together vigorously.
3. Bring your palms together into a prayer posture at the heart.
4. Bend the ring finger on both hands to curl down.
5. Relax your shoulders down and away from your ears.
6. Smile, breathe, and hold the mudra here for 3 - 11 minutes. Chanting the healing mantra "RaMaDaSaSaSaySoHung" or breathing a 3-Point Breath (See Below) is wonderful to do while holding any mudra.
3-Point Breath (Optional):
Inhale for a count of 20, Hold the breath for a count of 20, Exhale for a count of 20. Repeat this breath for 3 - 11 minutes to calm the mind and bring balance to the brain.
