When you get to certain age or experience in life you realize that, "I don't know everything". When I was a teenager my mom used to say "you know everything, don't you?" To that I would always be thinking, 'I sure do!' Flash forward out of crazy teenage hormone land, I now find myself in my mid 40's looking back and I am truly laughing. Laughing at how the unbalanced human mind can get so hyped up over a trivial topic. What has been the major factor or catalyst of my perceived maturity? TIME! By making time your best imaginary friend, it allows the soul, mind and body to align. With time as an ally we are forged into a better version, like water sculpting rock, year by year the efforts of kindness and compassion are smoothly revealed. With letting go of physical attachments, we can wholeheartedly be an instrument of peace on Earth. To get the mind/emotions/actions in sync, may I suggest starting a breath practice, going for long walks, talking to people face to face - or at least a phone conversation, get active in your local community, follow your passions, help others who are less fortunate than you, and by all means speak your truth with kindness.
In remembrance and honor of Dr. King,
"I came to the conclusion that there is an existential moment in your life when you must decide to speak for yourself; Nobody else can speak for you."
-Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Power to the Peaceful,
Joshua
