Joshua's Corner: Illuminate The Path

After it all is said and done, is it worth the discord and angst?

Is arguing with a stranger making the world a better place?

Does enforcement of ideological views or beliefs bring us closer together?

I ask these rhetorical questions not in vain.

I ask these honest questions because sometimes I see pain.

I dream of unity because we breathe the same air.

I dream of honest and open communication to clear the way.

I know these dreams are shared with billions of souls, some young and some old.

Wanting the best from ourselves and for our neighbors.

Humbly being the ones to reach out a helping hand to a stranger.

In the season of giving and receiving remember the true roots and meaning,

To gracefully illuminate the dark winter months with hope, love and faith for those who come after.
