The month of April is ruled by Uranus, and it has us highlighting the Excretory System. This particular system of the body works to support the body in removing metabolic wastes and toxins. The organs of the Excretory System that we are focused on are the kidneys, liver, bladder, and urinary tract. This week, we are highlighting the liver - one of the most cleansing organs of inner darkness, anger, and the shadow side. Three essences that support a healthy liver function are Hyssop, Rosemary, and Turmeric.
Hyssop addresses the processing of toxic emotions by promoting forgiveness. She also helps the digestive tract and the intestines by supporting a healthy liver and gallbladder function. Rosemary promotes the enzymes and good bacteria that support the detoxification of the liver. She helps to metabolize fat much easier and has been known for her strengths in pushing pathogens, salts, toxins, and excess fats out of the body. Energetically, Rosemary helps one to release deep seated anger, inner darkness, and painful memories. Turmeric is a powerful antioxidant that can prevent liver damage caused by excess toxins. Curcumin inside of Turmeric is known for the power of treating non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Turmeric helps us energetically let go of always thinking the worst will manifest. She helps one to find their personal freedom that manifests inner peace and calmness. Together, all three of these amazing plants help the physical and energetic liver function optimally and serve the vessel for the highest and greatest good.
It is best to use essences for one month for every year you have had the symptoms that are being treated. In general, for the average adult weight and height, five to ten drops
"neat" on the skin is enough to start anointing each essence 2-3 times a day. Always do a test patch on the inner arm to make sure that the essences are not too powerful to anoint "neat" on your skin. If they bring up a healing response, then use the bottoms of the feet to anoint, and meditate on what is coming up and out emotionally for healing. For liver care, it is nice to anoint over the liver (under the right bottom rib area). Turmeric and Rosemary can be both eaten on food and used in a tea by adding a few drops to hot water. Use intuition to guide the way, and remember that less is always more.
