Aromatherapy Share: Essences That Help with Fear and Worry...

Elections are times of great stress for half of the country. No matter who wins, we all lose with those who are left behind. This is because we are one and our interconnectedness is deeper than we think. Even though some may be happy, when our human family is suffering, there is a part of all of us that suffers with them. The plants are our greatest allies and healers of the heart. If we are feeling fearful of the future or are worrying about what might happen in the next four years, we can work with plant teachers to help calm down the stress and sink into the heart of faith and Love. Our favorite three essences to anoint in times like these are Roman Chamomile, Rose Geranium, and Davana.

Roman Chamomile is a perennial plant that has been used as medicine for centuries all around the world. As one of the "Nine Sacred Herbs", Roman Chamomile is anti-fungal, anti-parasitic medicine that helps the skin and hair, allergies, digestive system, reproductive system, and pain. She also addresses our fears and worries so that we can feel more at peace with ourselves and the world we live in. Roman Chamomile helps us calm the mind and stay in the 'eye of the storm' when dealing with unexpected events. She is the perfect medicine when feeling overwhelmed and stressed. Anoint 5-10 drops of Roman Chamomile onto the bottoms of the feet or near the major veins and arteries of the upper body.

Rose Geranium is one of 700 different varieties of Geranium plants. She is an evergreen shrub that helps the skin, kidneys, liver, heart, lungs, pancreas, and lymph. This amazing flower helps us begin anew and move forward with courage and confidence. She supports the release of fear and worry in order to transmute the past and move through adversity. Rose Geranium helps us to be resilient by not allowing issues to get under our skin. Five to ten drops over the heart will help release sadness, worries, and fears.

Davana is an annual herb and flowering plant that has been used in Ayurvedic Medicine for diabetes, intestinal worms, wound healing, and virus' for many years. She supports the reproductive system, lungs, nerves, and skin. When we feel anxious, stressed, worried, and afraid, Davana is the soothing nurturer that helps us break through this false reality in order find the joy in life once again. Davana helps us feel safe to express our Truth and shatter all limitations. As we see the best, we can be the best. Five to ten drops of Davana onto the nape of the neck, third eye, and crown can help us transmute negative thoughts into more productive ones and transmute darkness into Light.
