Aromatherapy Share: Essences That Help Us To Connect with The Holiday Season...

Winter Solstice, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and New Year are just a few of the celebrations that happen during this time of year. No matter what you celebrate, there are plants that get us in the holiday season mood because they smell familiar to scents we grew up with. There are also scents that open us up to the spiritual energies that are guiding the winter months. A few of our favorites are the trees like Blue Hemlock Spruce, Fir Balsam, and Scotch Pine remind us of Christmas Trees, and scents like Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Sweet Orange smell like our homes during our childhood years. Frankincense, Myrrh, and Spikenard are plants that help us go deeper into the spiritual and prayerful aspects of this season. They remind us of "going to church", whether it was in a building or out in nature, and they help to uplift and inspire us to focus on what we are most grateful for. Is there a plant or tree essence that puts you in the holiday mood that is not listed here? Let us know what essence and why it puts you in the holiday vibe by responding to this post, and we will add yours to our list.

Anoint 5-10 drops of any of these amazing plant teachers onto the bottoms of the feet safely - and onto the heart, the spine, the neck, and the wrists after doing a test patch on the skin to make sure you can safely anoint the plant essence to the more sensitive areas of the body. Use intention and direct the Love of the plants to help bring harmony and peace this holiday season.
